About us
PunctuationCheck started with a small, irritating problem: you send the email, and only then do you see the missing comma. The tools that catch those errors mostly want an account, a subscription, or both, for something that should take two seconds.
So we built the version we wanted. Paste your text, press Check, see every issue underlined exactly where it sits. Hover one to find out what is wrong and what to do about it. Accept the fixes you agree with and ignore the rest. No sign-up, no trial, no upsell partway through.
How it works
Two passes run over your text. The first is a set of mechanical rules that catch doubled commas, spacing errors and missing capitals instantly, without leaving your browser. The second sends your text to a language model that reads the sentence in context and finds the errors rules cannot describe.
The results of both are compared against your original text word by word, so every underline sits on exactly the characters it belongs to. Nothing in your document changes until you click.
Who makes it
PunctuationCheck is built and maintained by Kamran Khan in Swabi, Pakistan. It is a small, independent project rather than a company, which is why there is no sales team to talk to and no plan to upgrade you onto.
